Its mission is the research and development of platforms dedicated to the protection of sensitive areas, based on an innovative methodological approach relying on augmented virtual reality.

The V3D is a plug-in dedicated to Milestone Smart Client, deeply integrated with VTrack modules, allowing the rendering and the navigation of a 3D virtual model representing the environment to monitor and protect.

The V3D plug-in brings two main results: the design of video-cameras set-up, directly implemented in the 3D virtual model of the environment where the 3D features can be used to optimize the number of cameras required to achieve the desired coverage; a second strong result follows from the contextualization of alerts acquired from video analysis algorithms, where the global and comprehensive view of each distinct event offered by the 3D virtual model leads to a multiplication factor towards a deeper “situation awareness”.
